DEFINITION OF COMPANY:-
A company means a company as defined in company’s ordinance 1984 or an existing company.
· Existing company means a company formed and registered under any previous act
· Previous acts includes
o Act relating to companies in force before the Indian company’s act 1866
o Companies act repealed by Indian companies act 1866
o Indian companies act 1866
o Indian companies act 1882
o Companies act 1913
“A company is an association of persons registered under the law, having a distinct name and, a separate legal entity, with a common capital contributed by each member comprising of freely transferable shares of fixed denomination, it has a perpetual succession, limited liability and, common seal.”
